All about me Part 1

Welcome to my first ever blog.

I have been reading my friends two blogs for a couple months now and it occurred to me... "Why haven't I started my own?" So this is my attempt to document my life as a wife, mother and native Californian now living in Florida.

Here is a little information about myself you might or might-not find interesting.

I was born in the small town of Turlock, CA. My parents married and divorced at a young age. I was raised mostly by my mom in Fresno, CA about 2 hours south of where I was born. I was a pretty happy kid growing up. My mom and my dad each remarried when I was 9 years old. My step mom came into our family with her daughter Toni who is 4 years younger than me. My mom and step-dad had my sister Jamie, and my dad and step-mom had my brother Alec when I was 10.

I was in band throughout my school years, minus my freshman and senior years in high school. I had the amazing opportunity to march in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade November 1995. I held average grades in school. School and I have always had this love hate relationship. I loved subjects like science and english, but loathed math and history. I attempted many times to complete some sort of  degree, but it just wasn't in the books for me.

While working at Children's Hospital Central California in Madera, CA, I took a two day class on Phlebotomy and transferred from my secretary job to one in the Laboratory. It was rewarding yet heartbreaking working with so many sick children.

January of 2003 I moved to my hometown and lived in a tiny studio apartment attached to my great-grandmothers house. I loved my own little place. I love the feel of a small town compared to that of a big city like Fresno. I worked in a rehabilitation hospital as a social service assistant.

One week in September I was playing online and started chattin it up with this guy. He had recently moved to Fresno. Being the friendly person that I am, I had told him if he needed info on what to do or where to hang out just let me know. He gave me his number and said that I should give him a call next time I am in town. I called my mom to chat (we are very close and it was hard moving away) and she told me she wanted me to come home for a visit. When I got to moms I told her about my chance happening with this mystery man online. .....

     To Be Continued.....
